Oreo has atopic dermatitis and I’m incredibly fussy when it comes to the health and well-being of my dogs as they’re my life. After so many protein eliminations and endless hours of research we made the switch to Big Dog Raw.

Oreo and Maximus have enjoyed the combo pack, beef and are now onto Turkey. I alternate my dogs’ proteins to reduce the risk of food sensitivities/intolerances developing over time which is only one of the benefits amongst others.

Prior to transitioning to Big Dog, Oreo was on a mixture of kibble topped with raw and his coat whilst being in good condition would still have periods of tiny bald patches, dandruff and small raised bumps that would manifest looking similar to hives but weren’t. After these flare ups I’d had enough and began the task of elimination and researching into the condition itself and how to manage it.

So why Big Dog and not something else? Like everyone else I needed something that was all in one and ready to serve, I’m a busy person. Maximus will eat us out of house and home soon, however Oreo has always been a picky eater. However the moment he hears the packet opening and he sees his lick mat he knows it’s BIG DOG time and never leaves anything.

As a dog trainer I’m also aware that nutrition plays a huge role in a dog’s behaviour and am pleased that my boys are thriving with their nutrition. Ensuring our dogs are fed a diet that ticks all the nutritional needs boxes is what every dog owner should be striving for.
