Pie Crust

Makes 3-4

  • 80g flaxseed meal
  • 1 egg
  • Water (if needed)

  • Preheat your oven to 150°C.
  • Blend or grind the flaxseed meal until it becomes light and fluffy.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flaxseed meal and egg until a dough forms.
  • Between two sheets of baking paper, roll out the dough until it is about 1.5mm thick.
*If the dough starts to crack while rolling it out, add a tiny bit of water to the mixture, as the flaxseed meal will continue to soak up moisture over time.
  • Cut the dough carefully into 3-4 circles and carefully press into a round silicone cupcake tray, if it tears just apply some more dough and push together.
  • Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10minutes, then remove from the silicone molds once cooled and set aside.
