If your dog prefers the gamier taste of Rabbit, then this recipe is perfect for them. Rabbit muscle meat, bone and cartilage are the hero ingredients to our Big Dog Rabbit recipe for dogs. To this we add delicious and nutritious vitamin and mineral-rich offal from fresh Australian beef and grass-fed lamb as well as ethically farmed whole Tasmanian salmon and RSPCA-approved chicken.

This recipe also provides a biologically appropriate amount of nutrient-dense seasonal fruits and vegetables, as well as Big Dog’s special extra ingredients, including ginger, garlic, flaxseed, whole eggs, kelp, wheatgrass, probiotics and prebiotics for added nutrition and goodness for optimal health and wellbeing.

Feeding Guide For Little Bites

TREATS / TOPPERS: If using Big Dog Little Bites as treats or toppers, integrate into your dog’s diet taking their total energy requirements into account.

MEALS: If using Big Dog Little Bites as your dog’s primary source of nutrition, feed 3 Little Bites per kg of body weight daily.

For puppies under 12 months, pregnant or lactating dogs or working active dogs with higher energy requirement, double the daily serve size.

For dogs 5 kg and over, consider Big Dog Big Bites or Big Dog raw patties for an economical feeding option for larger daily feeding amounts.

How to Rehydrate

To rehydrate Big Dog Freeze Dried Little Bites into healthy raw food simply add room-temperature water to the Bites, crumble and mix. For each Little Bite add 6 mL of water to reconstitute (a metric teaspoon is approx. 5 mL).

When using as treats or not rehydrating freeze-dried food, remember to have plenty of fresh drinking water available for your dog.

MEALS: If using Big Dog Big Bites as your dogs’ primary source of nutrition, weigh them and for every kg your dog weighs, feed 1 Big Bite per day.



For puppies under 12 months, pregnant or lactating dogs or working active dogs with higher energy requirement, double the daily serve size.

For dogs 10kg and over, consider Big Dog raw patties for an economical feeding option for larger daily feeding amounts.

Storage and handling

Keep frozen

Be sure to keep raw food portions frozen until ready for thawing.

Defrost properly

Place required portions of frozen raw food in the fridge and allow time for defrosting. If required sooner, place in hot water to thaw but not cook.

Storage and safety

Keep thawed patties in the fridge for no longer than 48 hours and do not cook as our recipes contain bone.

Wash well

Thoroughly wash all utensils, work areas and hands with warm soapy water after contacting raw food.
