Big Dog Pet Foods was started in September 2000 with the vision to provide an alternative range of evolutionary pet meats to the general public.

This vision became a reality when Big Dog Pet Foods was introduced to Dr Ian Billinghurst (B.V.Sc [Hons], B.Sc. Agr., Dip Ed.).

Together we took Dr Billinghurst's intensive knowledge and first hand experiences with animal nutrition (in particular his ideas on evolutionary nutrition) and our expertise in Manufacturing (previously from Human Consumption Smallgoods Facilities) and were able to develop a commercial line of Dog and Cat foods that offer both nutritional and presentational uniqueness.

With this Dr Billinghurst's dream of the B.A.R.F (Bones and Raw Food or Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) Patty became a commercial reality.

Currently we are the sole manufacturer of Dr Billinghurst's Aussie R.A.W and supply this line to major distributors Australia wide, and in the very near future into Japan and New Zealand.

We were also able to combine these principles of evolutionary feeding, with first hand experience in the greyhound industry, to develop an exclusive line for the greyhound owner.

These can be found in our Greyhound section of the website, along with traditional lines of meats, supplements specially formulated for greyhounds, and other greyhound friendly products such as muzzles, leads, kibble etc.

Big Dog Pet Foods, is located at Units 5 & 6, 3 Jacques Court Lawnton 4503 where there is a retail showroom were all our lines can be purchased at wholesale prices.
